The 20th annual BSM Celebration of LIfe Triathlon is finally here! Good luck and fingers crossed that the air quality will cooperate with us this morning. There is no additional information at this time. Once we're up at the lake, there is little to no cell service so there will be no futher updates until at least early afternoon. See you at the lake!
Probably the biggest change triathletes will notice at this year's 20th annual BSM Celebration of Life Triathlon will be BIKE RACKS! We are excited to offer bike racks in the transition area this year for competitors. For those women who haven't used a rack in competition before, there will be a sample set up at the Event Expo, Sept. 20 to check out, along with Coach Scott Beesley from Soles Inspired Triathlon Club, who will be giving a transition area demo/presentation every 20 minutes starting at 10:40am. that day.
What happened to the lazy days of summer? It's already July and things are well underway for the 20th annual BSM Celebration of Life Triathlon. A sure sign that the event is quickly approaching? The clinics begin next week! Join us Wednesday for the First Timer's Clinic at Club Sierra. This clinic is for anyone who is considering doing the triathlon this year for the first time, or those already committed to train for our event, but haven't done it in the past. Join Amanda Holsopple and members of the BSM Triathlon committee to learn more about the event.
The full schedule of 2014 clinics is now up on the site. The cilnics, geared to women of all abilities, are a great opporunity to speak with experts as you train for the triathlon. See the complete schedule here: https://bsmtri.org/event/clinics.
It's not just the weather that's heating up this week. Plans for the 2013 BSM Tri are well underway. Our fearless leader Nancy Availla spent some time on the air this morning at KNCO and The Star, our free clinics continue tonight (Tuesday) and this weekend (see below for more details) and women have been spotted around town, at the lake and on Facebook hard at work training. There are only two months to go!
Hi Triathletes. Just a reminder that the 2013 clinics begin tomorrow with the First Timers/Training Clinic at Club Sierra from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A complete list of training clinics is available under the Event Information link. Be sure to check out our new Facebook page as well for updates and info leading up to this year's event Sept. 15.
The 18th annual BSM Celebration of Life Triathlon is done. Thank you to the athletes, volunteers, supporters and sponsors who made this year's event great. The weather and lake were beautiful, supporters were out in force and we hope the athletes had an inspiring day!
2012 results will be posted as soon as they're available. Stay tuned to the website for more post-race information.
Anyone planning their next event/race? Where? We'd love to hear about how you train in the 'off' BSM Celebration of Life season!
