21st Annual Benefit Event

A benefit event offering health and fitness activities for women.
This event benefits the Barbara Schmidt Millar Memorial fund at the Women’s Imaging Center of Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital (SNMH).
In addition, a scholarship has been established in her honor which is awarded to female high school graduates in Nevada County pursuing an education in the healthcare profession.The event includes at least one level of activity for everyone and attracts over 400 participants annually. This event is held at Cascade Shores on Scott’s Flat Lake, Nevada County, CA.
This year’s event is a Duathlon!
A What? A Duathlon is a run-bike-run event.
We aren’t going to let low lake levels stop us from accomplishing something epic. This event is great for everybody, from the seasoned athlete to the beginner. As always, we have something for everyone. So start (keep) training, this will be an event you don’t want miss!

Women of all shapes, sizes and ages will enjoy the Barbara Schmidt Millar “Celebration of Life” event with proper training. We welcome you to compete individually or as a team member.
This year’s DUATHLON is designed to offer a health and fitness activity for women who enjoy a challenge and is especially structured for both first-time and experienced triathletes.
Participants include the triathlete, avid outdoors person, fitness and fun walker, runner, cyclist and swimmer. This event is geared to include every level participant, as well as the separate run/walk.
This event is open to all women ~ at least 18 years of age.
Registration begins June 15th.
