Volunteering . . . a great way to get involved.
Anyone can be a Volunteer!
The 21st Annual Barbara Schmidt Millar “Celebration of Life” event is right around the corner. We could use some helping hands to make it a success.
This event is overflowing with inspiration, excitement, and triumph. Each year it attracts about 400 participants, along with their families, friends, and fans.
We love our volunteers, and know everyone of them are an important part of this event. Don’t miss out on the action, this is an opportunity to be part of a worthy cause.
Besides it’s really, really fun!
A variety of volunteer positions are available:
registration and race packet distribution
early morning parking marshals
- Course Marshal
guide athletes along the course
- Swim Angel*
swim alongside participants, offer encouragement, and flag help from kayakers or lifeguards if needed
- Finish Line
directing athletes and assisting the timing company
- Water Station
pouring water and handing out cups
assist with cleanup and tear down of equipment
*Special Note: Due to drought conditions, lake volunteer positions are not needed for the 2015 event. However, we are still looking for Course Monitors!
If you are interested in volunteering, please sign-up with this form.
You can indicate your preferred area, however your area coordinator may need you elsewhere. Thanks!
